How does the first appointment run?
It begins with history rather than with tests: what changed, when, what you already take, what has already been investigated, and what you want to know. That conversation lasts as long as it needs to, usually between forty-five and sixty minutes, and it can be held by secure video.
Measurement is proposed only where the conversation produced a reason for it. You are told what each test can show, what it cannot, and what will be done with the result before you agree to anything.
Where does the in-person part take place?
Laboratory, imaging and functional testing are performed at the licensed premises operated by Notia MedCare, Private polyclinic (ιδιωτικό πολυιατρείο), at 127 Vouliagmenis Avenue, 16674 Glyfada, Greece. Who performs what is described on the partners page.
Who reads my results, and when do I hear back?
Your results are read by Dr. Erietta Galani, MD, PhD, internal medicine and intensive care physician, and are explained to you in a dedicated appointment rather than sent as a file with numbers in it. Software may flag patterns first; a physician decides last, always. Laboratory timing varies by test, and the expected date is given to you when the test is arranged.
You receive a written summary you can keep and share with your own doctor.
What will I be asked to decide?
Whether to proceed with the proposed measurements, and later, whether to follow the plan built from them. Anything recommended comes with a stated evidence level for your case, and dietary supplements, which are foods, are recommended only where a measured deficiency or a documented clinical reason exists. Cost is always confirmed to you in writing beforehand.
You may decline any single element and still receive the rest of your assessment.
Examinations using ionising radiation
Examinations using ionising radiation are never included automatically. They are prescribed individually, after clinical assessment, only where the expected benefit for you outweighs the exposure, and the reasoning is recorded. You may decline and still receive the rest of your assessment.
No result is promised
No result is promised. The relationship between physician and patient is an obligation of means, not of result. Individual results vary. Before anything is prescribed, your physician states the evidence level for that specific intervention in your case, and records it.
